Summit Outside: The goat that's not a goat
I was up on Mt Evans in early September and encountered a herd of mountain goats near the summit. These magnificent creatures are most often found above timberline feeding on grasses, mosses, lichens and shrubbery. They were around the visitor area licking areas where salt could be found.
