When is it safe to put a "Lovey" in the crib with my son?
My 6 month old son has a "Lovey" that he is very attached to (a small blankie/stuffed animal in one).
I was wondering, when is it safe to begin putting it in his crib with him at bedtime?
Right now he sleeps with a pillow, but nothing else in the crib (he had very bad reflux when he was younger and the doctor told us to prop him on a pillow when he slept, and now hes used to it and won't sleep without one).
He can roll over like a pro, and scoot around the crib.
I need opinions/experience answers from parents please!
As a mom of two and in-home daycare provider I've always let them have their lovey from 6 months on up. In my opinion by 6 months they are old enough to move anything that may be blocking their face and can roll proficiently enough for even a light blanket to be in there from time to time. My 11 month old daughter is also attached to one of those little security blankets, hers is a little bunny, she's slept with that thing hanging out of her mouth since she was 6 months old
