could bad eggs cause Pink Dots in food? If not, what else can?
I bake a cake and when I cut it open there was numerous pink dots through out the cake.
EWWW. hELP?
It probably is not bad eggs, you would never forget the smell of a bad egg if you found one.
Does this happen every time or just this once? It is possible that it is due to improper mixing (at the processing plant) of the food colorings that go into the cake mix.
Check the side of the box and see if it mentions what color food dye they used. I would also call the manufacturer of the cake mix and explain the problem. If nothing else they may send you a coupon to replace this mix.
I am pretty sure it is not your eggs that are the problem.
Course then again I may be halfway across the world and I am not the one eating the cake so if you have any doubts throw it out.
