When to take Head Support out of a Car Seat?
Just wondering how old a baby usually is when you take the head support out of the car seat. My baby is really tall for her age, 12 weeks, and also can lift her head up by herself & effortlessly holds her head up on her own. Just don't want to be doing anything too early but she is getting too tall for it though. lol.
I took ours out when she was just under 4 months. She has really good head control.
I probably could have taken it out earlier, but she's pretty short so she was still fitting in it until then.
I would probably read your manual too...it might tell you in there.

Yes it should be fine, but to be on the safe side, give Graco a call and tell them your model number to ensure there been any recalls on your model.
I believe that 2004 is the year that Graco released the model of Car Seat that you just bought. Graco has been using the same model of infant car seats and strollers for years now (I know cause I have one). All they have done to "update" their product is change the material/colour.
So it should be fine, but please do call Graco because ultimately you want to ensure the safety of your baby 150%
Good luck hon!
