Hanged at home, girl, 8, abandoned by her parents
A girl of eight who was found dead in her filthy bedroom had been "abandoned to her fate" despite years of involvement by social services, a court heard.

If this is unusual behavior from your mom, just let it pass and assume that she will regain her sense in order.
If this is fairly typical behavior of her then it probably just pass on its own and this is what I would do- if you can afford it:
Keep the boy Bedding Set but also buy the other girl set (I know this is going to sound weird to those with normal moms
. Stash the Boy Bedding, display the Girl Bedding sets. While still at the hospital, fiance can change the bedding, and you can return/ exchange the other girl bedding for something later. (If past the 90 return, say it was a gift and that you have a receipt). This way you have the bedding you need, mom will shut up about it and think she won and you have the added agro.
