how can i clean Blue Jean stains on my white sneakers?
i have fresh white air forces that ive worn once, and already my jeans have started to stain them blue. any ideas on how to clean this?
This is what I suggest you do : bring them up close to the kitchen sink, put an old towel underneath them and using an old toothbrush in a sink warm soapy water scrub them clean. The soap should be Murphy's soap as it removes paint color so it should remove the dye from the jeans. Once they are clean - take another old towel rub the shoes to remove as much moisture as possible. place them in a sunny window or another spot to dry quickly.
The jeans should be washed in cold water with one cup of salt this will help remove the excess color and help set the regular blue in the jean material- to prevent this from happening again.

The old shirts are a great idea. Right now, my husband and I are back living with my parents for various reasons and I've notice how we go through paper towels as well. Its ridiculous. I'll be standing at the kitchen sink, having washed my hands, trying to decide whether I want to use a dish towel to dry my hands or a paper towel. Usually its the dish towel, but sometimes I do use a paper towel.
BUT, when we were still living out on our own, having just gotten married a little over a year ago, I was more frugal about things. I did cut up some old shirts and maybe an old towel. I used those for cleaning and what not. I also went to the dollar store and bought a pack of rags that come in packs of 5 for a $1 I think. And I used those also. I hardly ever had paper towels in the house.
But one question I do have is, if you are frying foods, what do you use when you “drain” the foods on the plate after frying them?? I will normally use paper towels for this.

I have four sections for towels in my linen closest an organising freak lol)
a pile "mine and towels", "kids/babies towels", "beach towels" and "old towels"
Mine and towels are bigger, my husband is 7foot tall so he needs bath sheets lol
Kids and baby towels (i have a toddler and baby on the way) i have character towels for my toddler and the usual smaller baby towels for my soon to be baby
Beach towels are obviously for swimming lessons, days at the pool and beach, camping etc
Old towels is when its raining and we need to put something on the floor to dry our feet, or dry the dog etc these towels are gross, got some holes and mold on them
